7 months...1 week

Yup, that's how much time is left until the big day.

Unbelievable. Most people have at least a year to plan and put together a wedding. Walter & I really wanted to get married on our shared birthday, so 7 months, 1 week is what I get to work with!

So far everything has been running pretty smoothly! I must say....THANK GAWD FOR KIJIJI.CA!!!! LOL! I'm totally LOVING that site! I found a rental tent for way cheaper than MacFarlands and found a woman who makes silk flower bouquets to do all the flowers, plus an arch to get married under!

Oh! & did I mention my mother is marrying us?!? How cool is that eh!

A friend is in the process right now of making my dress for me. It is soooo beautiful! Simple yet elegant. Our colors for the wedding are tan & baby blue. My dress is white (ha...yea I know) but it also has baby blue in it as well. The guys will all be wearing tan shorts with short sleeve white dress shirts. You may ask why this is? Because they are all covered in tattoos and we want them on display of course! LOL! The girls dresses are being made as well. Very simple, tan & baby blue. Something they'll be able to wear again in the summer months.

The only issue that isn't panning out smoothly is the dj services. We're having a little trouble there! See I know the best dj in the world, and it would be a bangin reception with him spinning...just a matter of whether we can get him equipment AND if he's available!!!

Anyhoo...this is it for updates right now. I'll write more as I get more done!

The Proposal

Walter wanted to ask for the blessing of Stephanie's father. He had every intention of waiting until New Years Eve to actually propose...

December 23rd, Walter, Stephanie & Shonn went to Stephanie's parent's house for sunday dinner. After dinner, Walter took Tim aside and got the blessing of the great man. (they hugged!)

Once Stephanie, Walter & Shonn got home that night, Walter proposed to Stephanie with Shonn watching in wonder. Stephanie said yes!

Walter then turned to Shonn and told her that he loved her and wanted to take care of her forever too. He opened a second ring box and gave Shonn a beautiful little ring with her own little diamond.

Written In The Stars!

Walter had seen a photograph of stars on a stomach that his friend, Chris Weagle, had tattooed on a girl. He had thought to himself, I have to meet this girl.

Stephanie went to her favorite tattoo artist, Chris, one day for another tattoo and decided to get her labret pierced. Walter was the piercer. He wanted to get to know this girl.

When he spoke to his friend Chris, that's when he found out the girl that he pierced was also the girl with the stars. I guess you could say...IT WAS WRITTEN IN THE STARS!

As luck would have it, Stephanie couldn't stop thinking about Walter too. She, of course, outgoing girl that she is, had to start the ball rolling.

She invited him over (to play video games)...and the rest is....the future!
